Start off your Sri Lanka 6 day tour with a visit to the ancient city of Sigiriya

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo and you will be greeted by our representative. Shortly afterwards, you will be transferred to the hotel in Sigiriya where you can relax before leaving for the excursion to Sigiriya (also known as Lion Rock). Sigiriya is an old rock fortress which was built by King Kasyapa and later used as Buddhist monastery after his death. You can see old yet beautiful mural paintings, known as frescoes, on the rocks. There is also a wall called Mirror Wall which was so highly polished that the King could see himself in it. The wall, however, is now covered with verses written by the people dating back to even the eighth century. Sigiriya has water gardens, cave and boulder gardens, and also terraced gardens. These gardens are one of the oldest gardens in the world. Also take joy in elephant rides and bullock-cart rides.

Sigiriya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and you are sure to be spellbound after seeing the intricate and unique architecture. You will be transferred back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Visit Kandy as prescribed in your Sri Lanka 6 days itinerary

After a relishing breakfast, leave for Kandy. Enroute Kandy, visit one of the major attractions in Sri Lanka, the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Volunteers and caretakers provide shelter and take care of orphaned, abandoned and injured elephants within the park. The elephants are fed milk and fruits daily coupled with a bath in the river, you can watch all these activities being performed.

The ancient city of Kandy is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and you are going to be swayed by the lush prairies, elegant lake, misty hills and delicate breezes. Kandy is a picturesque location which has vivid culture and fascinating attractions. The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of Buddhism's most sacred shrines, is one amazing and serene place to be at. Your visit to Kandy and Sri Lanka would be incomplete if you miss out on this temple.

After a soothing day, take rest and stay in the hotel overnight.

Visit the “Little England of Sri Lanka” , Nuwara Eliya on the third day of your Sri Lanka trip

After a scrumptious breakfast, visit the stunning Ramboda Waterfalls enroute your trip to Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is one of the most gorgeous of places in the world you can ever visit. This place is filled with Instagram-worthy locations and you will be awestruck to visit the tea plantations where you will be served tea made from the tea leaves of the plantations.

Also visit Gregory Lake for boating and other recreational activities. Do not forget to visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens to treat your eyes to cute and lovely flowers and plants, and there is Seetha Amman Temple nearby to be visited too.

Have a beach-day in Bentota

After a toothsome breakfast, head out to Bentota. Bentota is also known as the City of Golden Beaches. Swim in the sea or sunbathe on the shore. There are also water sports options on the beach. You will also be taken on a boat ride along river Madhu. Relax and enjoy the nature at its purest form. Later, visit Turtle Hatchery to witness the adorable baby turtles in huge numbers. These hatchlings are later released into the sea after they are 2-4 days. After a relaxing day, stay overnight at the hotel.

On the fifth day of Sri Lanka trip, visit Colombo

After a palatable breakfast in the hotel, travel to the capital city, Colombo. This city, being the capital, is the heart of Sri Lanka. The architecture of Colombo inspired by many cultures is vivid to behold. Also there are tonnes of places where you can go shopping in Colombo. You may want to visit famous places including Galle Face Green, the Viharamahadevi Park, National Museum, Twin World Trade Center towers, Old Parliament Building, Independence Hall at Independence Square, and prominent Buddhist, Hindu, Islam and Christian places of worship. After exploring Colombo, stay in the hotel for the night.
